how much money do i need to open a dollar store. i saw this location they are renting, but is very small and i think i can start in there. but i have no idea how much money will i need to open the dollar store. please if you have an idea or own a dollar store let me know. thanks!

Let's see....you'll need a lease, display cases and hanging racks, a cash register & "OPEN" neon sign, inventory, advertising, telephone, utilities, business license, resale permit, fictitious name statement, insurance......I'm sure there's more. You could probably do it for ten thousand, but you'll need another 10 to 20 in reserve. Be sure to do your homework on the market and location first. The vast majority of new retail businesses go out of business within two years.

You can start with as low as a thousand dollars, but please contact the regulatory bodies for setting up such business in your locality.There is nothing as good as doing business legitimately and also intimate the Police for cooperation and protection. Best of Luck.
