its like they wont acknowlegde you unless you acknowledge them first, im getting tired of it.

that happened to me too, about 2 weeks ago. i still havent figured out how to solve it, but i realized something from this.
i think both you and your friend have a certain amount of pride and this stops her from calling you because she/he expects YOU to call them first. and you probably also expect the same stuff.
but if you treasure the friendship, put your pride aside.

Give and take...maybe your friend is busy or tired of calling you all the time...so its time for you to call them too...and show to them that you miss them? It doesn't matter who called first...if you really care for the person, you will do things without expecting anything in return.
