Yes, although I try not to be. I'm a foreigner living in a small town, very close knit, so I'm the outsider - an easy one to pick on to talk about.

It is hurtful, especially when a lot of the rumours are going round between my partner's (large) family, that's when it's worse, when it doesn't just affect me, but my relationship as well.

Still, slowly but surely I'm being accepted - lol!

;-)

Yes it affects me on an emotional level and I can get angry for this, but since I am stubborn I do what I want/have to do anyway.

of course i am only human, and what others say has an affect to a certain extent, but no to the extent where it ruins my life...people will always have an oppinion about someone else... and i remember a friend of mine who's motto is:
"Not everyone is going to love, and not everyone is going to hate you, so the best thing to do is love yourself first".

Well, at times of course cause we can't control it. But we shouldn't be affected on what they're saying as long as we're just being ourselves. :)

Not really. But then, I don't have much affect on anyone else either so it works out.

yes, I was... I wish I could say that I don't care about people's opinion, but we are in fact in a very large part... a product of what others think about us. they are our mirrors... from the moment we are born till death. just think about your childhood... you've reached maturity mainly because of your parents feed-back to you...
