Why should we care? We are a sovereign nation. I certainly hope France or Egypt or Zimbabwe doesn't care what other people think. As sovereign nations we don't have to answer to anyone but our citizens.

I know. These people keep saying "Americans, you don't know what going on in the world."
I would really like to ask a French person if they know what exactly is going on in Tibet, or if an Australian knows what's going on in the Ukraine. Unless something affects your country, you pay no attention to other countries' news or opinions on things. No one does. It's hard enough to keep up with the news in the U.S., let alone other countries. I could really care less what the British think of our domestic issues.

that is the problem with america, we act only in our self interest around the globe, we talk a good game but we are very hypocritical in many circumstances
big reason for this disconnect is our press, very nationalistic and not much of a world view or anybodies view
