Could you comprehend the complicity that is, love I extend this question to those of all ages and sexes. If you were lucky enough to find love would you understand it, would you appreciate it, but mostly importantly would you cherish it. As we grow from “Love obsessed” teens to understanding adults. Do we ever take the time to grasp the true simplicities that love has to offer. We go from relationship to relationship, partner to partner. Taking advantage of all the beauties that love puts forth yet we still sacrifice this wondrous feeling so that we can complain of how love is not perfect, and for what I ask?

That is one of the most intelligent and thoughtful postings I have ever read on here before. That is an excellent question.
We DON'T appreciate what we have EVER until it is no longer available to us anymore. When we can't have it becomes more valuable to us.
But when we are there inside of that relationship all we can see is the glaring imperfections. We look at all the small unimportant things. When its over we are able to see the whole picture and think to ourselves " hey maybe it was not as bad as I thought."

I don't think we ever really appreciate love so much in the moment. When you're a teen, you have fun, new love, but you know it won't last. Then you regret the loss. When you're in your 20's you're having so much fun with your friends - whom you love, and you look for (and find?) true love. And you can't be without this person! Maybe you get married to this person you love so much. And you miss your friends. Now you're in your 30's, married & have a baby. You've never loved anyone so much as that child you have - the baby you created. But you miss your partner. Also you appreciate your parents. Perhaps your parents pass away. You've never felt loss of love so deep. And then maybe you have another child - could you ever love another one as much as you loved your first? And you find that you can. It's an ebb and flow of life that will always remain. Love is a constant. And we probably don't appreciate it as much as we should in the moment.

WHY DO YOU SAY, "LUCKY ENOUGH" ?
Love is something you should feel blessed with. Not lucky
it's all face value..and we don't sacrifice this wondrous feeling...
more like we take it for granted and underappreciate the beauty of it all before our very own eyes. We may see, but we fail to notice...
NICE ONE THO...LACKS A BIT OF WISDOM
sounds like you're reading...

Yes I am one of the lucky ones. I lost the love of my life after 38 years of the most amazing bliss I will ever know again.

Know what, even though the love that I experienced brought me so much pain, I am still thankful that I experienced it cause not all people does. Like the saying goes, its better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all.

I immediately understood my partner's intentions. He made it quite clear. And with Ultimate appreciation...I accepted. We've been married 17 years.
You could have stated your question MUCH more simply. It's a beautiful question.

yea i read this earlier and to be honest i really don't have a clear answer but i have thought of these things before. i read alot of plato and even he just talked about form. i think its alot of philosophy and alot of things not visible to the naked eye...love what is love? form of love...platonic...yes its about accepting someone and their faults everything...the good, bad and ugly...and being there through thick and thin is unconditional...
