Known as tumblers? is it the shape, size, can anyone give a good answer to this?

Apparently it is the shape of the glass!

A tumbler typically has a heavy bottom end (no pun there!) The glass is thicker so it wont "tumble" if it gets knocked

It's the size. But you better ask the tumbler to be sure. :)
