Potlucks???

Do you prefer to cook it or buy it?

If you went to a potluck, would you make fun of people who brought purchased food?

i wouldn't make fun but i'd probably want to cook something to bring just for fun....haven't cooked in a long time...

Depends on time availability. Since I love potlucks with homecooked food, I prefer to bring a cooked or prepared dish from home. Why make fun of someone for bringing purchased food? I would't.

they wouldn't laugh, but they would think you're a lazy bastard.
non-lazy-bastard-moves:
*instead of buying prepared food, but a buttload of booze, nobody can be mad at that.
*buy some cheese, cut it, platter it, and toss some crackers on the plate.
*buy some fruit. slice it, put it on a plate.
*bring the twister, the baby oil and the Polaroid.

keep in mind that some people did spend time over the hot stove to share a delicious meal with you.

I do not go to pot-lucks and I would never eat any food brought to one. You do not know what people do in the comfort of their own home. They may pick their nose and not wash, go pee pee and not wash or they could have pets that sit on the counters. I'm getting all OCD just thinking about it. And there is much worse that could be going on. Beware of pot-lucks!
