You really have to be more specific that saying, "How far is Canada from Moldova..."

Canada is a rather large country, geographically speaking.

Also, if you are flying, the question of "How long does it take?" is a lot more relavent.

I'm from Detroit, and flew there twice this past summer. I can tell you specifically that from Detroit it's about 8,000 miles, or about 12,875 kms. Depending on how far east or west of Windsor, Ontario you are, you can add or subtract the additional distance.

Now if you are flying, I can tell you that you are entirely dependent on the Chisinau, the only airport in Moldova. There are no direct flights into or out of Chisinau.

This is a very small airport with less than 20 flights a day. Your points of destination will either be Bucharest, Belgrade, Frankfort, or Munich. Then you have to wait however many hours for a flight into Chisinau airport.

Also, From Windsor, Ontario, Moldova is 7 hours ahead. Ragardless of what time you fly out of Canada, you will arrive in Chisinau the next day.

Flying out of Detroit, it takes about 9 hours to get to Europe, whether it be Frankfort or Munich. Then don't expect anything less than a five hour layover as you wait for your connecting flight to Chisinau.

If there were a direct flight out of Windsor, Ontario, it would be something like 12 hours, but taking into account the few flights into Chisinau, the trip is more like 18 or 19 hours.

Hope that helps,

Good luck!
