I think the bulk of the Cuban population are far more intelligent than teh US grants them credit for and will choose to live in a socially harmonious (comparatively) society far removed from the rampant coowboy capitalism, mas culture, fast-food and drug-abuse of neihghouring US and remain at very least, fiercely Socialist.
Most South Americans are hugely n favour of Leftist politcal movements, especially that of Socialism and Bolvarianism- where finally the majority can place some hands on their countires massive potential wealth (fine examples being Venzuela, and Bolvia and most likely Argentina shortly.)

Possibly following the death of Fidel Castro there will be a complete collapse in Cuba, so much so that the present regime can no longer continue in power. It seems likely that most Cubans will not be content to carry on as they are right now. Change must come to Cuba, if it is to survive in the future.

communism, where everyone is equal, except some are more equal than others.
capitalism, where everyone has the opportunity to be more equal than others, but those that are lucky enough to get the chance take it to extremes.
socialism...the middle man?
big fat profit is the aim of them all, they just stick a different name on it
