WASHINGTON, March 2 — President Bush, hoping to reduce demand for oil in the Western Hemisphere, is preparing to finish an agreement with Brazil next week to promote the production and use of ethanol throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, according to administration officials.

I believe that it would help to work out the differences somehow regarding the issue of imported ethanol over domestic ethanol.

"Fandango" is the term that popped into my mind when I looked at this article. We certainly need to look into alternative over fossil fuels. But, we do need to consider possible harm to the environment over factory farming that might tear up rain forests. We also need to keep track of worker's rights and other human rights violations. And, of course, we need to be concerned with the right of all creatures.

What political things are not?

Ethenol is key though, or some form of alternate fuel and energy source is anyway, oil wont last for ever.
