it will return and you are right about the nuts,According to the research team, the rise in peanut allergies could be as a result of more women eating nuts whilst pregnant or breastfeeding. It's also likely that young children may become sensitised to peanuts through traces of nuts found in pre-packed foods.
Their advice to parents is to avoid nuts for the duration of pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding. As a precautionary measure, anyone with a family history of peanut allergies is also advised to not give peanuts to their children.

When it comes to lactose intolerance, maybe you could try a product called Lactaid. It is regular milk that is ultra pasteurized and has an ingredient called Lactaid instead of Lactose. I would talk to your doctor but there is a product from the makers of Infamil that have DHA and the ingredients in fish you really need. There are alot of green vegetables (such as spinach and dark leaf lettuce) that contain iron and you may need to increase your intake. Also maybe you can eat more cereals with the Lactaid. I thought it was a soy product (it isn't)so when I drank it was surprised that it tasted like milk (because it was). Continue to take your prenatals and try taking it at times where you do not get as sick. Since you are eating green vegetables this should help with the iron, but would definitly eat more if you can. I am lactose intolerant as well so found it wonderful I could drink milk. Also, I think there is a pill form of Lactaid that you can put in your yogurt and such to cut out the lactose so you can eat yogurt as well. I would seek the advice of your doctor, they should give you other helpful things. These things might help you some however, as with any diet change seek medical advice. My morning sickness started at 10 weeks and stopped at the end of 11 to the beginning of 12 weeks. Maybe for the protein, I would try peanuts and for extra folic acid, try bread. It hopefully will ebb pretty soon and you will notice an increase in appetite. I was the same at the beginning. My iron levels were perfect because I could only eat dark green leafy vegetables in my salad. (though couldn't eat tomatoes) I ate it 4 times a day with vinegar and very very little olive oil as dressing, because ranch contained milk products. I don't like any other dressing and until the Lactaid I could not drink milk. I am just now getting to where I love meat and still can not stomach pork, or steak can eat ground beef in hamburgers and cannot eat hamburgers if it is fast food and not cooked from home. Now I feel like a bottomless pit. Hmm, my doctor said it was a healthy alternative to eat nuts so am a little surprised at that. You might try the lactaid and see if it helps you be able to drink dairy and those other things. As I said, it is always best to as your doctor/midwife first. It was wonderful to be able to drink milk.

you should be taking natal vitamins, but first talk to your doctor after you get back the results and then ask him what type of vitamins you should be on, not everyone gets morning sickness and some people develop it later in the pregnancy, some people do get sick at the site of meat while pregnant, that is nothing to worry about. You need to eat like 3 meals a day not just one, eat all day if you have to, force yourself to eat at times, you can't risk losing body fat and nutrients for you and the baby. I know I never have a appetite and I have to force myself to eat or otherwise I don't think I would. Nothing is wrong with fruit and salad they are good for you, try putting nuts on your salad and eating peanut butter.

Don't worry too much, this is quite normal!
I'm vegetarian so eat no meat or fish at all - EVER! I felt really sick all the way throughout my pregnancy last year so I didn't manage to eat that well, but I took pregnancy vitamins daily the whole way through my pregnancy. My son was born last November and he's the healthiest little baby you could wish to see!!
Get a Multivitamin and mineral supplement designed for Pregnancy. Pregnacare is a good one in the UK. Ask your doctor or midwife for advice too. You need to take a supplement designed for pregnancy as certain vitamins - like Vitamin A - are not safe to take in pregnancy.
I'm still taking Pregnacare as I'm breastfeeding and want to make sure he gets all he needs from my milk and that anything lacking in my diet isn't going to affect him.

1. The appetite will change, so just keep eating for what you are able to eat.
2. Don't wait for the blood test, start on a good multi vitamen. Ask for a perscription for a prenatal vitamen, you can get them over the counter, but I really liked the perscription ones. You should be taking vitamins regardless of your anemia. Try to up your raw spinach intake if you can, or any other green leafy vegetable and foods high in iron, if you can stomach them.
The sick feeling should go away in a few more weeks, and your appetite may or may not come back.

Your appetite may improve as your pregnancy progresses past the 3 month mark, but there may be foods you won't tolerate well throughout.
Ultimately, your body will crave what you need! However, there are supplements available for you if you really can't balance your diet. There is an iron supplement suitable for pregnancy so if you are anaemic that will help. It is available at the pharmacy. Your doctor will probably suggest it if your iron levels warrant it.
There are vegetables and legumes with reasonable amounts of calcium, but again a supplement may be warranted.
In the end, unless we are starving ourselves or dieting unecessarily, baby will strip whatever nutrients he/she needs and we will be left with the remainder, so don't worry too much, your doctor will be able to help you determine if you need supplements and which ones to take.

Did your midwife tell you why you should avoid nuts? I've never heard that before. Mind you I did once get a very short lived but extremely nasty tummy bug from eating nuts so she could be right. Listen to your body, eat what you can tolerate, the nausea is bad enough on its own without you trying to eat foods you don't want. Once you have the result of your blood test your doctor will be able to advise you of the best course of action.

I wouldnt worry - as long as you are eating something. I went through this for the first 5 months! If you are anemic they will give you iron tablets - this is pretty common. My midwife told me that babies are parasites...I was shocked! but then she explained that the baby will take everything and you will suffer...! its a long journey bear with it...its certainly worth it in the end x
