Vijayawada is a place from where can we get mother's love and affection. Because Mother-Goddess Durga Devi is residing on the holy hills of Indra Keeladri. Arjuna meditated in these hills and got the darshan of Lord.Shiva.Every year Gunadala Mary Matha (famous as Arogya Matha) festival celebrated here. The view of Vijayawada form Indrakeeladri is more enchanting. Prakasam barrage on the Krishna river has to be viewed from temple complex at night. It is an important Junction for North and South India. A number of trains to North and South pass through Vijayawada.It is a big business centre. First cinema theatre in south India, Maruthi Talkies constructed in Vijayawada. It is a main film distribution centre for Andra Pradesh. I love Vijayawada.
