Not only do I remember it -- my mom used to sing along with it as a
"popular" song in about 1961 [I'm age 61 now] and when I was surprised
she told my HER MOM used to sing it to HER! I piped, "YOU know it? You mean it's THAT old?" She replied, "I think it was a lot older than that -- maybe when Mother was young or before" . MY mom was born in 1910 ! Believe me, the song is old. [don't recall birth year of her Mother]
