Well probably b/c you have a life outside of the internet. The points don't mean anything in the real world. No one can spend all their time on the computer - and why should you? If you are "super intelligent" and you know it, you don't need anyone else's reinforcement!

The question isn't very intelligently written but if you could answer questions all day, I'd say to get a life very fast (no offense to those top posters but that is NOT healthy). I come here late at night (its 2:43 am) when im not tired to help people in here since I have a very very wide variety of knowledge of music, instruments, and the industry.

Because. Please don't take this the wrong way, but super dumb people would probably say the same thing. The point system helps to slow down people who would put no effort into answering questions by limiting the number of lazy answers. Plus it's a reward for taking the time to answer questions right.
