Thats a difficult one! I have two really cute long haired daschunds that I wouldn't give away for anyone. But I miss having a cat. Another things is that you have earn a cats respect and liking whereas a dog will gallop over and give you a big lick as soon as it gets used to you. So i would say thats a poicking point- do you want a cat that adores you or a dog that is loveable with many???

Cat, mine is not an animal, he's just a little sub-human. I love dogs and would probably have one if I had a yard, but I like the size and cuddliness of cats and that they don't require as much physical activity to play as well as maintence as a dog. I'm not a big fan of slobber either =/
