I just finished the novel I Am Charlotte Simmons and the book came to my mind when I heard about this. Are looks really that important? I felt really bad for the girls.

These girls who are getting kicked out of sororities because they don't measure up somehow (i.e. - overweight, not "pretty" enough) don't need said sororities. They should go where they are wanted and not worry about a social club where the vast majority of members think their sh*t don't stink!

I'm sure they'll find other "misfits" on campus who will like them for who they are and not put them to some kind of litmus test.

And fraternities and sororities wonder why they have such a bad reputation....

It's human nature for attractive people to be narcissistic and discriminate against anyone they feel is not as good as them. They feel they are the center of the universe and everything revolves around them.

Unattractive people are an annoyance to them. So they remove the unattractive ones from their presence in any way they can.

The ones who are said to be "unattractive" are better off not being in the company of such fools. Besides, the "unattractive" ones do not spend all their time trying to look and act superior. Therefore they spend more time on types of self-improvement which are mentally healthy. They become more intelligent, nicer persons.

They deserve a sorority of their own. Why not? They'd be in great company with each other and mature a lot faster than the egotistical fools in the "beauty club".

My hat's off to them.

I don't know much about it, but I think they should be happy not to be part of such a shallow, cruel group of people.

I hope that other, more sophisticated sororities will actively recruit them.

White people are a trip! That's what I think.
