Prenatal Vitamins are good to take if you are not pregnant, they do improve the texture of the hair, and nails. To help clear acne, or other types of skin condition problems, no. Will improve you skin texture, will not help you age or loose weight. Just better than taking multivitamins...They have everything a woman needs to gain good health, along with healthy meals.

Do Prenatal Vitamins Cause Weight Gain

2016-10-28 06:31:46 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

I have never been pregnant (nor do I have any plans to) and I have been taking prenatal vitamins for 7 years and yes it has helped my hair (the initial reason that I started taking them) and made my nails grow faster (having to cut them about every 2 weeks). It has helped my skin as well so that I very rarely have a problem with acne.

I have not noticed that taking them has affected my weight.

I buy mine over the counter at Wal-Mart. One time I was talking to one of the pharmacists at my local Wal-Mart and she said that it's the best thing for a woman to take.

But check with your dr to see if it's ok for you to take to be on the safe side. My dr said it was ok for me to do so and that some of her other non-pregnant patients take prenatal vitamins as well.

Hi there,

Yes it does help. Your skin, hair and nails will be very healthy. And, when you finally do become pregnant you'll already be nice and healthy, instead of like most women that just start out on them when they get prego.

My friend has taken prenatal vitamins for the entire time that I've known here. She hasn't had any problems with weight gain, in fact she looks better now then she did before!

Good luck

They can. Some have more Iron than a "without child" woman needs.

Iron can actually be toxic in elevated quantities.

Take normal vitamins for your normal self.

If you get pregnant, see your Doc to tell you what you should do.

I will say this about pregnancy and a doctor.

People have been around for a long time (hundreds of thousands of years, so they say).

If you have a question about your child, sometimes Mother really does know best.

You should start taking prenatal vitamins now. It is even recommended to start taking them a couple months prior to TTC. You want your body to be at it's healthiest in case you were to conceive, and when you do conceive. Lacking vitamins and minerals can intefere and delay with conception. If your husbands sperm count is normal, then you can do it every 24-36 hours. If it is not normal, then every other day is best. Either way every other day will do the trick. If you are lacking fertile cervical fluid then use preseed. It won't affect your chances, and it won't dealy them either. You don't have to lay still after, but when TTC it is recommended to lay down for at leat 5-20 minutes. You don't want to fight gravity. Sperm swim upwards, so rest assured that they are correctly swimming their way to your fallopian tubes, either way. It's best to speak with your gyno, just to make sure you're good to go, and in good health. You don't have to but she may have some helpful tips and advice for you. Saliva can impair, and kill sperm. I would recommend you stay away from oral while in your fertile window, and during ovulation. Other times of the month, enjoy! Not saying you can't or will not get pregnant, but any unnecessary interference when TTC is uncalled for. Keep in mind it can take a healthy couple 6-12 months to conceive, and it's considered normal. Sometimes it can take longer, even if there's nothing wrong. We all only have an average 25% chance of conceiving every month. Good luck to you and lots of baby dust! Edit: Missionary position or doggy style are recommended, as they deposit sperm closest to the cervix.

It is just a multivitamin with iron and folic acid. You will only get the benefits of the vitamins. It is not a magic pill. I don't know if your nails and hair would grow any faster than just eating right and taking any multivitamin. As for clearing up your face, the same is true for that, it just helps your body get some of the nutrients you need. You will not gain or lose weight because of it. It is just a vitamin.

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating.
The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant. Anyway this is a great methid to get pregnant fast https://tr.im/171f0

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!
