Livingston has been plauged by injuries throughout his career. He tore three of the four ligaments in the knee, the MCL, ACL, PCL, along with his lateral meniscus. They all can be repaired arthroscopically which reduces recovery time but whether or not all three can be done at the same time is up to the doctor. i would estimate that there will be about a 14 month recovery for him. Some have recovered from similar knee surgeries faster (Carson Palmer) others have taken longer (Daunte Culpepper) In any event i cant see the Clippers resigning him or any other team for that matter to a long term deal, or one with much guaranteed money.

Shaun Livingston is done for the year for sure. His leg injury was pretty serious. Now he will have to learn the fundamentals of basketball instead of relying on his athleticism. He has the youth, but I am not sure he has the BRAINS to change his game. He won't have the acceleration or quickness any more.
