Yes, it is legal to record a conversation as long as you are part of the conversation,meaning that you can not record someone talking to someone else with out there permission unless you are involved in the conversation!!

Every state varies. In CA you cannot. Even with a restraining order that forbid the person from contacting me in any way, I had to get a court order that permitted me to record any unlawful conversations initiated by the person.

Depends on the state. I'd say it can be recorded, but itdepends on the state in question as to whether that recording would be considered admissable in court.

it is a matter of state law. generally using a repeating tone or beep is considered as proper notice to the other party that the call is being recorded.

every state is different some u can do it as long as you have permission and then some would consider it a invasion of privacy
