if you agree on an amount of settlement and sign paperwork accepting offer at your solicitors , how long does process of releasing cheque take ? does it make any difference if it is from MIB .

compensation amount agreed by both parties , funds no problem , what would be a reasonable time to release payment to you be ?

it has taken me four and a half years of medicals etc to finally be offered anything now i have accepted the offer and its taking them forever to release the cheque ! where would be appropriate place to complain ?

It takes about 6 weeks
1st the solicitor receives the money and holds it so they can make a bit of interest on it
I know,my mother is a solicitor

If you were represented by legal councel he or she is the one to ask this question. The money most likely would go to the counceler and then to you.

If you did not have legal councel then you most likely will have to remind them and might even have to force the issue.

depends on many things
does the person have access to funds
is the opposing lawyer planning an appeal
do they want to be slow in paying

took me 6 months before i got all my compensation money, still waiting for lose of earning's 9 months on.hope you get sorted soon
