Personally, I'm against it because I find it pointless and distracting. Too many people led by their hormones.

What do you think?

I'm not against it but I'm not for it. I think that a child should stay in a child's place till they are old enough to take responsibility for what they are doing. That goes for dating, having sex and even just kissing and holding hands. Our kids these days are growing up to fast. I hate to see what the next generation is like. In school its nothing but a big crush just wait till they hit the real world.

I have nothing against it. It should be better supervised, with parents at least knowing all details of where they're going and when they'll be back. Maybe a chaperone is a bit much, but they at least need to stay informed. And the teens need to know not to take each other seriously. High school dating should really stay just friendly and platonic. I can see a little kissing, hand-holding, but leave sex out of it.

It all depends on how you define 'dating'!
If it is just to go to the movies, hold hands, go for dinner, and decently drop her home, it is harmless.
But if 'dating' = mating, it is wrong, at high school stage!
You are right: the hormones are very powerful substances which, once given a free rein, can end up with the young female in bed ! Enjoy for a minute, and regret a lifetime in pain!
That is just my opinion.
So how will my opinion matter? If too many people latch on, screw my opinion!!

I agree.
I personally find it very annoying to find couples latched onto each other like leeches when I'm just trying to make my way around school and such. And I hate how I never fail to notice people I don't even know with someone new at least three different times in a year. Thus, it's all one big crock; kids don't realize that once HS is done, that's when life truly begins. Don't listen to these dopes' responses above me!

I believe dating is not the problem - it depends on what your dating partner got in mind. What I mean, No body can force you to do unwanted action. Dating is fine because you need human relationship to survive.

It takes too much time and energy to keep a serious relationship going and H.S. students can't do both-academics and relationship as one will suffer. Same with college students.

At that age, it IS harder to contol hormones, true. But I don't think that relationships should be disallowed.
