Today i took the preg test and it came back neg. i haven't had my period yet and im feeling the preg symptoms.
how long do i have to wait (after a missed period) for the preg test to detect the HCG hormone?

I took a test a day before my missed period and it was positive, some women it takes longer for the hormone to show up so I would take another test in a few days.

You do not have to wait after a missed period to test. Tests can be taken up to 5 or more days before you miss your period. I took one 7 days before my period was due and it was positive.
Maybe you are just stressed out and not pregnant.

I have a friend who will not pop on a piss test. No matter what they come back negative. She has to have the blood test done. If you take the test again in a few days and it still comes back negative, but you feel it is wrong, go to the doctor and as for a blood test.

you can take a first response 5 days before your missed period but when you decide to take another on make sure you use your first morning urine and lay the test on a flat surface get a pack with two test in case you feel like you did it too early

i say about 7 days although this depends on the sensitivity of the hpt brand. a blood test will tell u straight away
