As a true capitalist, at least I would assess if you are a true victim or a false claimant. If the former, and I am in a charitable mood (Ever heard of the Carnegie, Bill & Melinda Gates and Rockfeller foundations, they've been all established by capitalists) - if the latter, I will boot your a*ss.

You know, if it was anyone else, probably not. But considering that Katrina victims were taking $2500 ATM cards issued to them from FEMA to help them after the storm, and they bought liquor and Super Bowl tickets, I'd be kind of leary about trusting you.

You know what struck me funny? When they had Hurricane Andrew in Florida, people lived in tents, spent FEMA money on rebuilding their homes and lives. But in Katrina, the people of New Orleans went straight back to the bars and drank, and didn't even repair their own houses!

I had a friend who assisted in food relief in New Orleans. A person came to the food line and griped about the food, stating they would not eat that ( expetive ). When you're getting disaster relief, who the hell you want feeding you? Emeril Lagasse? You talk about being ungrateful! You know, people traveled for thousands of miles, donated so much money, and they got treated like dirt by the people of New Orleans.

And finally, it amazes me that there were people in New Orleans actually shooting at rescue workers. During Hurricane Andrew, people welcomed rescue workers with open arms. So I don't understand the mentality in N.O.

Yep, I'd probably charge you.

The Feds gave them billions of dollars to rebuild. Problem there is, is that it's in the hands of N.O. government. Whether or not their people get it in their hands is another story.

I still say...people who are naive enough to live 600 feet BELOW sea level and can't expect any help for their own government, then it's a pretty sad situation. I'm tired of hearing about a state of poor. There are poor people all over the U.S. and we all can't help everyone all the time. These are welfare people who want it laid in their lap. I guess it's too hard for them to fill out the paperwork. I just don't feel bad anymore. Millions went to them in donations from private individuals...and now billions from the Feds. If they still want to build where it isn't safe, then they're the ones that need their heads examined.

If they felt so badly about dead people in the streets, then why didn't they help in recovery efforts to remove the bodies? Whine and complain...ohhhh, poor me, ohhhhhhh poor me. WTH I'm a poor person as well, and I'm struggling to keep my head above water. We ALL have our own troubles but some in different ways.

They're ALL poor, but their kids have money for drugs, get into gangs and fighting and killing in the streets...and if that's the best they can do to 'help themselves' then the H with them.

How quickly these commie leeches forget........

Donations used for:

breast augmentation surgery
lap dances
booze
televisions
sex change operations

The list could go on and on..........

Remember it was the PRIVATE donations from American citizens (you know, those pesky "capitalist swine") that couldn't give enough to the people of MS and LA, as I'm SURE we would do again at the drop of a hat.

Get a JOB, lay off the DOPE, become a PRODUCTIVE member of society, stop listening to American hating college teachers (I'm sorry, I can't bring myself to calling those dope smoking scum "professor").

A true capitalist would say "Let them eat cake." Tic Bittiford once said about donations "Why, I gave a number of my polo ponies to a depressed area the other day."

If you are one of the people who sat around in the dome and threw feces at my niave Grandma red Cross volunteer who was trying to give your *** free food and water calling her names she wouldn't even undestand...I would have NO problem demanding money for that bottle of water. Your kids get it for free.
