I get my nails done in a salon run by the Chinese. They are always rude to me and I know they are saying racist things about me in their wacky language. I would stop going but I like the long dragon lady nails with glitter and jewels on them. No one else in town does them as good as these chinese ladies. How can I tell if they are saying racist things?

So what, they are providing you a satisfactory service. Its their problem if they are so small that they have to say things in another language. You never know, you could be imagining things. If it bothers you that much, go somewhere else.

First i wouldn't accuse someone of being racist while at the same time saying they have a 'wacky language'. Second learn Chinese or take a Chinese speaking friend. Third if you confirm that they are racist, don't go again. It's their problem not yours.

By you calling their language "wacky" you prove yourself to be quite racist. If they knew you wrote this, perhaps they would stick some bamboo up under those nails the next time you come in.

Why don't you find a nice Black shop to go to, even if the work is inferior to the Asian's work if you are so offended.

Well, they always talk about EVERYBODY in Chinese. You could learn the language. Chinese isn't wacky, that's not a nice thing to say!

Sorry to have to say it, but I believe it is racist to say their language is wacky, after all its been around a loooong time. Also it seems to me you are a bit racist towards them.
Are you certain that they are chinese and not some other asian persuasion?

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the color of your skin. They probably commenting on how much of a b' you are cause you don't tip, or the way you dress, or how fat you are or some other non racist type issue. So don't worry, its not like english speaking beauty salon people don't talk about their customers when they leave.

well.....ask them what are they saying ....but tell them that their language is interesting to u, the last thing that u want to do is to test the waters and make a wrong move .....and then letting them say dumb things to u, so ask them sometimes its just things about their personal life that they don't want the public to know, and since they know that u have no clue they can say as many things as they want, so please ask them......what they are trying to say, and try to be interested in the culture and language, talk about the job they are doing and ask simple things that u might want to know the translation, try not to be so defensive, and if any means they are saying racist comments, no service no matter how great means nothing if it offends u ......

You acted unreasonably yet in a great number of cases if a white man or woman calls yet another race a foul call they could get in large problem. even as another race makes thrilling of a white man or woman no longer something in a great number of cases takes position to them. no man or woman cares about white people's thoughts!

Well, short of getting a bilingual person in there, I don't know. But I think perhaps you could come to a better solution than that. Why not get someone you know that's already a cosmetologist and get them trained in that nail specialty, perhaps by even getting hired in that place you don't like - then stop going there!
Best of luck Racism sucks - love to all.
