I'm sorry, I haven't used the pill, but maybe I can help. Girls I know have taken it, and none of them became pregnant. Of course, it's only 89% effective, and that is very relient on your taking the pill within 3 days of having sex. The sooner the better, because it only prevents implantation, but if the egg is already implanted the pill won't do anything, and all the women I know have taken it the very next day, within 24 hours. A few of the women noticed their period was late and heavier. Hope I helped.

Plan B "morning after pill" does NOT prevent pregnancy. It inhibits implantation of a fertilzied ovum. I was given it in the hospital after I was raped...I was also given a follow up doctor appointment for 6 weeks after, "just in case". because Plan B is only 85% effective. Yes it worked...I was given it about two hours after my "episode"...

I did take one, a day after the condom broke (the doctor gave it to me). I was on months long medication that can cause disability on my unborn child. However, it didn't stop me of getting pregnant and the doctor had to abort my pregnancy after the 8th week because of my medication plus the morning after pill can cause more damage to the embrio.

Chance is, even if you take it you will still have to go through D&C (termination).

Got a little queasy and had a very heavy period about a week and a half later. No pregnancy. I took it within 24 hours.
