And more than wearing, i personally feel comfortable in not wearing, as to I can be more alert in audition, and more visibility of both sides with extra angular eye movements and all! More over, is it not for the over speed-riders, the things like these protective measures useful, and why for the aged, and middle aged people with riding less than thirty kilo metre speed in the city traffic?
ON ONE SIDE GOVT. OPENS TASMARK AND SELLING LIQUORS ON ITS OWN , AND ON OTHER SIDE IT POSES, AS IF IT IS MORE CONCERNED ON PEOPLE'S WELFARE!
See! instead of punising the over-speed-riders, and the accident makers severly, they give trouble to all! This is just like all the vehicles should be periodically checked for pollution control to get revenue for some autonomous body!!
Which one is easy, finding on the road by flying sqads the more polluting vehicles and fining them a lot, or urging every single good new vehicles in millions, to check it periodically and keep a certificate for that in hand?

One needs to carefully analyse the logic from where the Government is building up its case. Here one often sees reference to a high "percentage of fatal accidents". What we miss here is that, of all the bike-riders about 99.9% never might have fallen off at least once in their lifetime. So the whole government logic becomes very stupid and condemn-worthy. If one digs a bit deeper, perhaps, a helmet-corporate and government nexus may get exposed.

Helmet wearing should not be taken as one's right or not. If you are not wering what are the consequences ? Just think over it. When you arae driving what are the accidents - especially man made you meet with . The pot hole , not properly tarred roads; The buses all of a sudden stops in th middle of the road, the two wheelers sneaks through wherever there is some gap, the vehicles over take right, left, front and back; Pedestarians cross the road as they like. In short nobody follows the road rules . Every body wants to drive in high speed . If this is the situation even if you are following strictly the road rules accidents may
happen to you because of others. IIf so, you being driving the two wheeler and if accidnts happens and if there is head injury it might be FATAL. So to prvent this every body -whoever rides the two wheeler - must wear the helmet for their safety - to save their life. IT IS A MUST -without any exemption. If there are any difficulties in wearing the helmet it could be rectified in the long run by finding out . So for heaven sake do not discard. IT IS for the SAFETY OF the Two wheeler riders whoever it might be.

It should be an individual right.. but unfortunatly in many states its not its a law.. do what everyone else does in that situation.. get yerself a "beanie" No worse than wearning a ball cap or a Dew rag.. and since no one can prove legal or illegal helment in a court of law due to the federal DOT regulations (DOT refuses to even certifiy any helmet.. (that DOT sticker is a industry self certification) Its a pretty easy thing to beat in court been done a gazillion times.. Been there done that.. cops here in CA dont even care anymore as long as it even slightly resembles a helmet..

I am willing to let you ride around without a helmet, IF you agree that when your head hits the pavement that you will not end up at my local ER which is subsidized by my taxes and my medical insurance premiums.

Also, should you survive your head hitting the pavement that you will not use any of my tax dollars or increase my medical insurance cost during your recovery or the therapy you will have to have for the next five or ten years.

It should be your right but in many states it isn't. It isn't anyone else's business if I wear a helmet or not. Same thing for a seatbelt. Maybe I don't think somebody should eat out at fast food restaurants because they are to obese, shouldn't it be against the law to eat out if you are at risk of having a heart attack because you are obese. Think about it do you want everything regulated by the government.

You want to kill your self? or stay in a coma for life go ahead.
From the question I suspect you already suffer from some form of brain damage caused by probably not wearing a helmet.

You cant force anyone to do a certain thing, But when its for safety concerns there's nothing wrong in wearing it. After all safety is more important than comfort.
