Aishwarya Rai is not the MOST beautiful woman in the world maybe because everyone has his/her own definition of beauty. But don't you think saying that lots of girls in Jordan look like her is a bit of an over statement?

She is extremely gorgeous but not really. For all her beauty, there seems to be something insubstantial about her. I saw other women in India who were equally enthralling but just never had the same interests or lifestyles. I will say one thing in her favour, she is not slutty like the blonde euro-trash the West seems to adore.
I saw her face everywhere in India. Nail parlors and beauty shops carry her name. She adorns billboards everywhere, laden down in layers of gold and fine stones. To be honest, it got a bit dull after awhile. I was much more pleased by the images of John Abraham!
I do think when an Indian woman is beautiful, though, she is one of the most beautiful things ever created. The thick glossy hair,gorgeous skin, enormous eyes and grace with every movement. I also find the sari or the shalwar kameez seemed to accentuate their graceful movements. Even as their feet touch the littered ground, they seem to float above it all like brilliant flowers.
Although she insures her eyes for many millions of dollars, I saw much more intriguing and captivating eyes in Dubai and Egypt. Usually over a niqab of course.
When I saw her interviewed on Oprah last year, I thought she was a tad aloof and not at all warm. Oprah usually excels in pulling the best out of her guests.
As for the girls of Jordan, I have no idea. I am sure you have more fair hair and racial diversity which is always a big plus. My daughters are mixed race and I can attest, such children usually get the best of both races!

Aishwarya Rai is elegant and beautiful, but she is not the most beautiful woman in the world, no woman can be because everybody have their own idea of beauty. There are tons of beautiful women in the world not just one.
