I haven't got my period in what feels like months.. though it's probably only about two or so.. There is no possible way that I could be pregnant and I'm starting to get concerned. Until my doctor's appointment, which is a while away.. I wanted to know if anybody knew of any illnesses or conditions associated with not having your menstrual cycle? (Besides Anemia) Also I don't take any birth control or any medications.. No spotting, no signs, at all. Please help! Thanks.

I'm going to be nineteen this month and there is no way I could be pregnant. I definintley agree with the stress thing.. I've been overly stressed, emotional.. not eating as much - I'm sure those contribute to it if they're not the very reason. Can it be associated with liver problems, by chance?

It's just something I've heard, although I don't really know it for fact: Things like stressing and overly emotional reactions and such for an extended period of time can cause a girl's cycle to get off track and such. Not sure if that's true, but it's what I've heard from some girly family friends.

It's possible that stress plays a factor and therefore, your hormones are out of whack. You're fine. We call this amennorhea, which is abscence of a period. The gynecologist will probably put you on the pill to regulate your period more than likely.

You have not mentioned your age. If you are above 45 than menopause is the cause & it's normal too. If that is not the case & you are below 40 than it is mental stress which is causing it. Any desease? Harmonal Imbalance is the cause. Moler pregnancy is also a cause. Without proper examination nothing can be doffrentially diagnosed.

Have you been exercising a lot? If you have low body fat percentage it can make your periods cease or become scant. Also, some infections can interfere with your period. It may have something to do with your ovaries ...maybe infected or a benign tumor. Then it could be something like hormones out of whack. I'm glad you are seeing a doctor, he'll be able to figure that right out for you.

There could be many reasons why you are not menstrating but sometimes women will experience irregular menstral cycles and it mean nothing. But your doctor will be able to tell you more after a complete exam.
