Layers are always a great option. If you see a hairstyle you like, take in a picture to your hairdresser. I'd also highly reccomend researching what kind of hairstyles suit your face shape best. It really helps!

If you don't want to cut your hair, something as simple as changing the way you part your hair can help change it up.

Toussled hair is also in right now. Use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner, or at least a lightweight conditioner or none at all; most conditioner, especially heavy ones, weigh your hair down and make it look flat. Add volumizing mousse to damp hair and blowdry your hair upside down for maximum volume. Use a curling iron on 1/2 inch sections for less time than it takes to curl your hair... 2-5 seconds, depending on how easliy your hair curls. Finish with a holding hairspray.

There is a ton of things from a nice barrette to having your hair professionally done. Hairdressers can show you what style is right for you and how to accomplish them and other looks that you might be interested.

I think a pony tail with a bow is adorable, but it seems nobody is daring enough to do that.
