Getting a papsmear has no bearing on your sexual status. A pap smear among other things checks for cancerous cell growth. Virgins and non-virgins can get cancer.

virgin or non-virgin is not an issue for Papsmears. When we turn 18, it is recommended yearly but if you are below 18 and sexually active, you should get a papsmear. Its purpose is to identify infectious processes, and abnormal cells that could be malignant.

What difference would it make if she did? Especially to you?

To answer your question, ANYONE can get a pap smear. Young, old, virgin or hooker. It is a simple test to study to the surface cells of the cervix to check for possible abnormalities that might indicate potential cancer risk. Nothing more, nothing less.

Women should start getting paps when they've had 3 consecutive years of menstrual periods or have reached the age of 18 and are still virgins, have become sexually active, or are experiencing any sort of gynecological problem.

It's either three years after first having sex, or age 21, whichever comes first.

So yes, it is possible to be a virgin and still have a pap smear.

Although I lost my virginity about a year ago and just had to go to Planned Parenthood because I needed to renew my prescription for birth control, and even though I have sex they didn't give me a pap smear because it hasn't been three years since I lost my virginity yet.

No.. it doesn't matter if you've had sex or not. It's just an exam to make sure you don't have Cervix cancer.

I'm a virgin and I had one for the first time almost 2 1/2 weeks ago...

She probably wasn't lying..
but she shouldn't spread her personal business around like that anyway..

I got a papsmere and I'm a virgin. It hurts like hell when you're a virgin though. But no, she wasn't lying.

Pap smears are recommended annually for all women over a certain age, and younger if they are not virgins. Ask a gynecologist for more information.

papsmears usually should start at age 12 or when a girl gets her period. whether she is a virgin or not doesn't make a difference.

Pap smears are for all women. You usually only see a gynecologist though if you are or have been sexually active or after you turn 18. Depending on her age, she may have been telling the truth.
