In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet takes an herbal concoction that makes her appear to be lifeless. Unless her family was extremely ignorant, she must have not been breathing to appear as if she were dead. As everyone knows, one has to breathe, whether by natural or artificial means, to stay alive. Other than this, I do beleive that the story confines to terrestrial physical laws.
