Yes you are right. It's very costly to live here. In fact, anywhere you go nowadays. Honestly, I'm not been prejudice or racist nor do I want to steer your mind away. But the reality is your credentials are more accepted in your country than here. Ask people who you know travelled abroad. They'll tell you. Basically, you would have to start from scratch. Academy of Learning is a private institution. The tuition is more expensive compare to if you have attended a more recognized college. Say for eg. George Brown, Humber or Seneca. Your more likely to find a job after completing your education. Any how, please do your research.

If you are not interested in studying at a university...e.g. The University of Toronto....or Ryerson.....and wish instead to go to a college....then you need to be aware that here colleges issue diplomas/certificates....not degrees. Onlly universities have the right to issue degrees. I have never heard of the Academy of Learning....but of late there have been a number of scams involving schools for foreign students....they show up and find that the 'school' consists of three rooms and few staff...and for this the student is charged thousands of dollars...with little hope of any refunds when they find out that the 'school/university/college' is a sham.
