I think it's more like a drug. There actually is a chemical called Tryptophan in chocolate. There's another chemical in there called phenylethylamine. Both of these are responsible for the feeling you get of attraction, happiness and all of the other good feelings you get when eating chocolate. So it is a drug and those chemicals can be the reason why us ladies get so addicted to chocolate at times.

I always thought chocolate was it's own category. I alway think of candy as hard stuff or powerdy stuff or something hard. I still think that chocolate is a group itself.

yes and no. chocolate can come in many forms. for example, u can have chocolate ice-cream, chocolate milk, chocolate pudding, chocolate cake, etc, which therefore they are just classified as sweets. however, when u include chocolate lollies, chocolate bars, chocolate eggs/chocolate easter eggs, amongst others, that's when they are considered candy.
