I originally went on the pill long before I was sexually active to regulate my periods (they were all over the place because of my low weight) and to control my cramps and muscle spasms durring my period. We are getting close to the 5 year marriage mark and I'm finding that i'd be just fine with getting pregnant, but am more scared of going off the pill. Is there anyone else out there that has experienced this? I've been on the pill for 7 years now and It's great! No cramps, very regular, 1.5 day periods!

I went of the pill after being on it for 10 years. For the first year and a half, my periods were extremely irregular,I had very heavy periods, bad cramps...........It was hell!!!!!!!!!!!! Once a year and a half passed, I had regular periods, my period was very light and lasted only a few days, and I finally started to ovulate.I was very scared to get off the pill, but now that it's all over my body is much better, I lost weight(birth control pills made me gain 20 lbs)And I feel so much better.Good luck!!!!!!!!

I surely have on no account heard of the the two.....do exactly because of the fact the physician has informed you and you would be high-quality.. as quickly as I first began taking the pill it made me slightly naucious, even yet it has to get on your equipment. If the pill is effecting you harfully then stop taking it ....Its your selection....

It depends on your body.

The risks of the Pill FAR outweigh the benefits! The longer you are on the Pill, the higher the risks to your health and fertility. You are at GREATEST risk if you have taken the Pill BEFORE having your first child.

Irregular periods are not a health probem and bad PMS can often be corrected w/ diet and supplements.

It can take 6 months or more for fertility to return after pregnancy. The Pill depeletes important vitamins. YOu should definitely replenish your stores, especially b vits.

The best way for you know know about your cycle is to chart your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention.

Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility
