Of the three that you list, AVG is the best for a FREE AV. I would suggest one of these..... Avast, NOD32, or Kaspersky. Avast is FREE for home use, NOD32 and Kaspersky are paid. But the best of all AV app.s listed here is currently Kaspersky. Here's the links, so you can decide for your self.

out of the three AVG is free correct but the jury is still out on effectiveness ,have not heard anything bad either
ditched Norton for this also free but had the paid version
http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp
ditched that for KIS(kaspersky internet suite) in use now
trial 30 days here: http://www.kaspersky.com/trials
McAfee did wrong by me once to often.just not a huge Zone Labs fan but it does the job having both an an AV and firewall
try it you may like and buy it.
excuse me Jennifer you cannot run two anti virus programs(without conflict).you can run all the anti spyware you want however and this one is free but can be bought/upgraded

There's a relatively unknown anti-virus:
nod32 from eset.com
IT IS THE ANTI-VIRUS LORD.
It detects and cleans the max number of viruses+it doesn't slow down ur PC.
It's virus-database is light years ahead of the anti-virus on number 2. In an online survey conducted by download.com, the people with nod32 suffered from 60% less virus-attacks than the 1 on second -MacAfee.
Norton is the worst, don't ever buy or recommend it to anyone.
AVG Free is also is pretty good along with MacAfee and Kaspersky.

Mcafee sucks, Norton sucks, AVG is pretty good, Kaspersky is even better but very controlling......remember that Spyware is the # 1 threat not viruses and for that I reccomend Spy Sweeper

I'm all for AVG, but since it doesn't have a firewall on the free version I suggest downloading ZoneAlarm.
Ad-aware and Spybot are also great programs (but are antispyware not antivirus like AVG)

None of the above....I was running Norton and AVG...which at one time was running McAfee...and switched to Norton because they found what McAfee did not. But back to just a few months ago with me running Norton and AVG, I ran a system scan with my current protection Invisus Direct's free scan...and they found over 70 hackers on my pc and more...that NONE of these choices found.

I use AVG personally. It works better than Norton Antivirus! If you bought the pay for version... i'm sure it will work even better!

If you are talking FREE, then go with AVG. If you can afford $35 a year, go with ZoneLabs Security Suite. AV, AS, and Firewall.

Kapersky is truly reliable, and it truly is loose. I particularly were utilizing it for awhile. i actually beloved Norton 360 too. I do networking protection consultation, and that is what I usually advise for that type of issue. My shoppers are frequently more than chuffed.
