Of course. Not only are they exercising there Second Amendment Right to self protection, they are actually a deterrent to crime. Since the criminal element will always have weapons, the more law abiding, trained people who are carrying, the safer we all are.

No. But then I believe the 2nd amendment should be repealed & that no one other than law enforcement shld carry weapons. Why a so-called, advanced society such as our insists upon the right to bear arms is beyond me. The purpose for that right long ago passed when the wild west was conquered.

Sure, why not give the weapons to the crazy people who would probably not know how to use them just because they don't have a criminal record. Have you heard of bi-polar disorder? Skitzophrenia? 75% of them don't have criminal records and if they kill someone...guess what? They claim insanity and life goes on for them while the lives of that dead person's family comes to a screeching hault.

Back to the drawing board hon....that idea just won't work in this day and age. over 50% of all americans are on some sort of mood altering drug.

I don't see why a law-abiding citizen would have a need for a concealed weapon. Surely that puts them into a different classification - they are suddenly a potential killer!

Why should they when illegal drug dealers and gun runners, Akkadian princesses with fire-guns, South American terrorists with Lugers in canvas bags, farm girls from Poltava with hand grenades in their handbags in offices, berserk office worker that stands up at her desk, takes a Semi out of a long bag and starts shooting the other employees in the office in the back and other activities are happening.

Why should these terrorists be the only ones to have the guns and leave the citizens to "call the local police" and hope they get there in time?

Certainly. It could potentially help to prevent crimes. Those that try to take hostages, rob banks or threaten lives would think twice about infringing upon the rights of others if they knew the general population could be armed.
