Don't let the wheelchair hold you back, you need to get out have a little fun,i don't know how old you are,but if you are of age to go to the mall movies dances go i had a friend a girl and we went to the dance all the time, dancing in a wheel chair can be fun and good music and going to the mall making friends there, you just need to get out and not be home bound.

Well if you're nice and sweet you shouldn't have a problem making friends even if you are in a wheelchair. If you want to make friends you can't do it when you're at home all of the time. Go out.

I think that the internet has allowed people to connect in so many different ways that didn't exist before. You can really let people know who you are and they will see you for who you are in the real world if they live close by.

I'm not in a wheel chair and no one calls me or comes over to visit. It's just the type of person I am. If you want to be social then I think you can be. There are many people out there who want to hang out with a great person like yourself. Perhaps look for online social groups that meet in the "real" world.

You should try to get out more, are you in school. Being in a wheelchair shouldn't stop you from doing anything you put your mind to. You sound like your confident so try to get out more around people your own age or maybe volunteer this summer at a camp or boys and girls club. Its a great way to meet new people your age and your helping out the community as well.

If you call the community center of the town where you live...they can probably give you a name of a local organization or club you can join to meet people. If you don't drive...you might also ask them about rides to different places so you can get out because that is what you need to do...get out and meet people. It'll be hard at first..but once you start meeting other people...they will introduce you to more people and you'll soon find more and more things you'll be able to do with your friends. :)

Look in your phone book for a church that offers free pick up to its services. Many Churches will come and get you and take you to their services. Many have vans that are wheelchair accessible. There, you would have the opportunity to make many friends. Of course, the religion is up to you. Or you can call Churches and ask for info. They will be glad to help. You will probably get plenty of nice people to visit you.

You don't need to stand or walk to make friends. If you are friendly, anyone would like to be friends with you.. If you are worried about being in contact with them, you can use the phone or the internet.. For finding friends, you may start with your cousins or relatives.. Get friendly with them.. Then go on to meet their friends.. Who knows, someone may strike a chord with you.. This is the best way to interact with more and more people..

You can make friends no matter how u are.Just start a small convo and eventually youll make a new friend.Go online and try to find a good friend but be aware that there are some people out there who are not what they show.
