he's a young man and most men that age are obsessed with beer. it doesn't mean he'll be an alcoholic. men have their 'party years' once he matures and grows up he'll get over it on his own.

Everybody is into beer at that age. Wait until he is 21 and things get more expensive because it is all about the bar. He will be into for a while but the phase will pass. It did for me anyway.

You can help him by helping yourself understand you. They have meetings for those who love alcoholics. If you really think that your brother is an alcoholic, those who love him need treatment as well as he does and his treatment success depends on himself and the loved ones seeking professional help.
Call one of the 12 step programs and they can direct you from there.
Try the site below-perhaps you can get some information from there.

He's just a follower. Perhaps he'll grow up ... but many men don't. Most don't end up alcoholic, but they still manage to kill plenty of brain cells along the way.

Sadly, you can't control someones life. If you are very concerned in your brother's habit, he could never be sober. Try talking with your mom and dad and take him to therapy. If it gets out of control, he might need to go to a class.

hes gonna have to have a life changing moment to change. if he enjoys it then he's not gonna stop. his friends are probably the same...thats what they have in common. if he stops, he'll lose his friends.
or
he's drinking to mask hurt...cant blame him if that's the case.
