America has more than just black and white culture and that's a good thing. This country is supposed to be a melting pot where all the different cultures can live and still be individual in expressing their pride in their heritage. And yes I believe that the next president will be white, because sadly America is not yet ready for a black president. Besides it would only be a set up. Anyone that follows George Dubua is going to have a hell of a clean up job on their hands, and I personally believe that a black president would simply wind up becoming a fall guy for racist rhetoric and be destined to fail.

I don't think it is good or bad that there is white and black culture. V soon there will also be asian culture or latino culture. Even in speaking Americans don't even speak with the same accent e.g. a Texan slang or a New Yorker accent. The important thing is for everyone to be understanding or at least tolerant of another culture. Even though there is a black or white culture, when an American is overseas everyone only thinks of the American culture. Unity in diversity is the key!
The tendency for the president to be white is due to the majority of the population being white, but since the demographics is changing,v soon you should see a non-white president, that's for sure!

Anthropologists most commonly use the term "culture" to refer to the universal human capacity to classify, codify and communicate their experiences symbolically.
We do have one culture in America, with norms, values and beliefs that are universal. We all are responsible to obey the same laws. Racial differences are a result of people belonging to a racial subculture - which is still governed by the rules of the prevailing culture.
In fact, the American culture would be a subculture of "human culture." That would make your racial issue a sub-sub-culture.
Less important than you initially believed??
So yeah, we all have more in common than many people think - especially those who don't take time to read.
This time when I vote I am going to consider the candidates ability to read and the universal human capacity to classify, codify and communicate their experiences symbolically or otherwise. In other words, our next President will be a human - not a chimp.
Intelligence and the ability to be human will be my gauge of our next President and maybe things will start going better for us all.

I used to live in a very multicultural area of London. The church I used to attend had a fairly even split of west indian, pakistani/indian and white/european. Despite the fact that individually all these people would talk to each other and get on well, at all church functions there turned out to be black tables, pakistani tables and white tables.
This is fair evidence that people don't really want multiculture and will self-segregate.

Its amazing how you as Americans condemn the Middle Eastern nations to be narrow minded towards women and not give them their rights when Pakistan one of the largest Muslim nations has had 2 women presidents for 4 years each and how many women presidents have we had here in land of equal?
