It depends on your geographical location.
On the other hand, if your time is up, then their is nothing you can do. Just enjoy the ride and appreciate what life brings you.

Logically yes I'm as safe here as anyone anywhere, But I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, I feel afraid a lot of times when I know deep down that I'm Okay. Several years ago I was stalked for a long time. I was terrorized inside my home. Things like I would come home and find my bathtub full of hot water and I had been gone for like 12 hours. A lot of other things happened. Anyway there's the long and the short of it.

I am a beleaver of karma. Now I am aged nearly 63 years. So far no un towards incident happened to me nor had any set back physically or otherwise. I am not a frequent visitor to any hospital nor having any habits. Hence I am safe and will be safe for ever.
I answered this question only to give you tips to be safe since I feel the question has exposed that you are unsafe and want to find ways and means.

Yes. There are so many random bad things that could possibly happen in the world; you will go crazy if you think about them. I feel I am smart and strong and confident so, barring any totally freak events, I feel I am safe.

In general, yes, I am safe. I live in a very small town and the biggest crime here in the last 10 years is kids breaking curfew.

in my house i do. theres shootings in my neighborhood n i always hope a stray bullet doesnt hit my house!
