A really good bet would be either north las vegas, or Henderson, which is south of vegas. Those are two nice suburban areas of the city and are currently in a huge population boom, but are a very good area to live in, or so I have been told. My family has friends who have lived in Henderson for 10 years and love the area. It is very calm, and seems like it is on the other side of the world from vegas, but it is less than 15 minutes to the strip.

Do not relocate to the area west of the Stratosphere to Downtown. This is the worst part of the metropolis. Go to Henderson which is East, Boulder which is way east, or the city of North Las Vegas.

Though I like visiting Vegas, its too plastic for me. If I had to live in that area, I would live in Boulder City.
