To an extent .There are far to many expenditures involved in running a country of this size to let the citizens decide where every tax dollar is going but we should be able to hold the representatives that waste these dollars accountable for misuse.

Agree. A portion of tax money usage should be voted on just like local bond elections are in local elections. If the idea does not pass it should not be funded.

Taking God and Prayer out of Public places turned right into a step on the path to our own destruction. when we enable the Minority make certain for us, maximum people now no longer had a voice and that is our fault for no longer being extra worried and conversing out LOUDLY and continually. I monitored what my toddlers watched and listened to even as they were homestead and now I do a similar for grand toddlers. As to blame adults , if we do not help such vile artwork, then this is going to die a organic demise. they might draw/paint it yet we certain do not might want to bypass inspect it or help it.

Disagree. We are a representative republic because the amount of time and money it would take to get the entire populace to vote on every issue would be overwhelming. You think you were pissed at the President for Katrina response. What would the response be if you had to organize a vote of the general populace to approve an emergency spending bill?

Your right but its not going to happen. That would give the taxpayer some control and our government does not want that to happen. Further more, I think the average American would vomit if they knew where a good share of our money went. Have you any idea what the congress has set up for their retirement and SS. That is a slap in the face to all taxpayers.
