they have torn most of it down. the main entrance of the main building is the only original peice of the building that still stands.

they are currently building condos there.

a few years ago the city of danvers was offering legal tours (since they filmed the movie they upped security on the grounds) and i took about 14 rolls of film. the building is beautiful and yes, quite creepy.

when the hospital was abandoned everything was left behind. i had friends who snuck in and took all sorts of stuff. one friend of mine had taken a few patient' medical records. after reading the "treatments" on the records i looked at that building in a whole new light.

i am acually heading over a friends house who lives a block away from the building tonight. e-mail me at jessica.laidlaw@mail.com and if you would like i can send you a few picutres of what it looks like today (if there is enough light).

Up interior the mountains in Colorado, the Kansas side of the Continental Divide, there's a place called Hell's Hill and The devil's bypass way. My dad of direction got here upon it. there replaced right into a tiny wood bridge greater advantageous perfect for a foot bridge, (different than why could absolutely everyone step on that), it rather is swinging and you will see by it straight away down. an prolonged way, way, way, down. Our vehicle went over that element because it replaced into meant to bypass. The Royal Gorge is basically as gross. Have a good day.

I've seen lots of pictures but have never visited myself. I would love to see it though it does look pretty creepy though. Unfortunately the building has deteriorated pretty badly from what I understand. Which is a shame really, it's a gorgeous old building and has so much history.

It is a very strange place. It is one of the few State Hospitals left. It is something out of One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.
