Usually you can just open the picture, then save it as a .jpg file. Normally just double clicking the icon will open it in either your web browser or maybe MS Paint.

Once you've opened the picture look at the top of the screen. If you see the word "File" in the tool bar, click it then click "Save as". In the "Save as" option box you will first select where you'd like to save the picture to, then change the name if you wish, or leave it the same, either is fine. Then select JPG or JPEG or jpg however it is represented in the pull down menu under the picture name then click the "Save" button.

If there is no jpg option in the pull down menu you'll have to make the following two changes to the steps above.
-First, add ".jpg" to the end of the picture name, like picture-name.jpg
-Second, select "Files of All Types" or something similar form the pull down menu beneath the picture name then Save as usual.

If for some reason you are opening the picture with an application which does not have the File command then you should be able to right-click the image and select "Save as" then follow the steps above.

Download IRFanview from the Net. Open your image and resave as a jpg. That simple. Or any other graphics software you may have. Just not Paint.

open it using a graphics program like photoshop or paint, then click File save as... then on Save as type combo choose jpeg or jpg

u can use a very simple tool like.........Ms Paint to High proff softwares like Photoshop...........

now d procedure is............
open ur bitmap image n save it as .jpeg n ur done..........

its very simple
