for you all?
Usually, I spend a good 10 to 12 hours dedicated to my work.
Because I have such a reclusive life style, I have very seldom attempted communication through the internet. And NEVER as much as as I do to this website.
I like the questions and answers people give - and even though I have never met any of you, I feel that in a remote way you are a family away from my family to me.
My father had judged, because of my reclusive lifestyle, that I involved myself with the world, much too little! Therefore, he brought me this computer, saying rather poetically : "Here is a window to the world!" Since I take such little time outside IN the actual world!
At first, I pretty much ignored what he suggested, because my main satisfaction, I found through my work.
NOW - I can hardly wait to take breaks from my artwork and see what is happening on the website!
Therefore I'd be very delighted and grateful, if genuinely you'd tell me why you like it here.
Grace Skydancer.
Thank you VERY Much

Have you ever read a book by Kurt Vonnegut called Slapstick? Subtitled Lonesome No More.
The main character has an idea for giving people new extended families. Everyone will be given a new middle name and a number as well, the idea being that you are now related to everybody else with that same middle name (one set of people) and the same number (a different set). He acknowledges that just as we don't necessarily like all our blood relatives, there will be some new relatives we won't particularly care for.
Just recently it struck me that this website similarly enables us to establish kinships with others, without the mechanism of the extra name and number. And we don't necessarily like everyone we run across here, either.
Besides, it's fun!

Besides all the cr@p some people write, I think the answers are very entertaining and educating. What's nice is that you can change the topic as often as you like without offending anyone. It sure is a gateway to other peoples' views and insights. I agree with you, I cannot wait to see what's happening either. You sure have a great and caring father!!!!!!!

People have an innate need to be thought well of by others. For some people, that means asking really thought-provoking questions. For others, it means spreading the word about something they strongly believe. For others, it means writing something incredibly controversial. For most, though, it means being able to provide a piece of information better than anyone else. It is gratifying to scan through the questions and come across one for which you have unique knowledge. It's nice to know you can totally nail an answer, and it's nice to get an email a few days later letting you know that your answer was, in fact, appreciated and justly rewarded.

This site is mentally stimulating and quite funny sometimes. It is truly addictive. You are also a good answerer, with 8% best answers. That's wonderful.

It is just a waste of time.
Too many kids and foreigners.
That makes a great combination for bad spelling and bad grammar.
You might be into it right now, because you just haven't been here long enough for the petty things to get to you.
