My daughter is 6 months old. I tried to switch her to bottle feeding since she was 3 months. I would express my milk and try and feed her or get someone else to feed her. She refuses it everytime. i can count how many time she actually drank from a bottle (5 times since she was three months). I need help. She's got 2 bottom teeth breaking in, one top on cutting through, she bites down sometimes and pulls, it's very painful. We have a few weddings this summer that they don't allow children/babies, I need her to take to the bottle very soon. I've tried everything. HELP.

I have tried different bottles/nipples. She doesn't know how to use the sippy cup yet, she loves to hold it and play with it with her mouth but she doesn't know the method of sucking the sippy cup. She does love to drink from OUR cup though. When her daddy gives her some water she just can't get enough...it's cute. But I need her to take the bottle. I will try the sippy cup with nipples if they sell them. thanks.

I have an Avent bottle, Dr. Brown bottle, Luv's bottles, and Gerber bottle. She doesn't like any of them. I've tried positioning her like I was to breast feed her, or sitting up right but facing forward, nothing works. I've only let her cry once or twice and i gave in. It breaks my heart to hear her cry for the breast. I don't want to wean her but I have to b/c of weddings and the fact that she's got teeth. It's heart breaking b/c I love feeling so close to her, kiss and smell her, the little sounds she makes and the way she holds my finger, or caresses me while she nurses. She's growing so fast.

Have you tried the sippy cups that have a plastic straw? She might take to that instead of a regular sippy. My son went to a cup very early too and couldn't figure out the regular sippy so I tried the straw one....like a fish to water. You can get them at Target or Walmart and I think even drugstores. The whole "straw" mastering is suppose to come later, but it sounds like she is ready for something in between bottle and cup. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I would try Avent bottles, if you havent already... my daughter wouldnt take anything BUT them, and they switch from bottles to sippy cups- so you dont have to buy a bunch of both.
To try and ease her on to a bottle, I would lay topless with her on the bed (so she can feel you next to her), and position her like you are going to nurse her laying down, and try giving her the bottle that way.
If you got her to take the bottle that way.. then I would, of course, only give her the bottle while she is in a semi-sitting position..
This is what worked for my daughter.. it took a few tries, but she eventually caught on.
Dont let her just sit and get hungry, she doesnt understand that. If anything, it's going to make her more frustrated and upset because she is so hungry.
Maybe try nursing her for a few minutes, and then givng her the bottle.. then she will be somewhat satisfied, but still in the mood for more food.
Just gotta be patient too... remember, nursing is the only way of feeding that she has known up until now, so she's going to need a little time to learn, and to adjust :)
Hope it goes well for you...

Try different nipples on the bottles.

If you wait long enough (she will cry) but eventually get hungry enough to take the bottle.

There are some great sippy cups out there with bottle like nipples that you could also try.
Best of luck!

you recognize which you're meant to alter to exploit after twelve months real? properly possibly your daughter is making an attempt to permit you recognize that she would not choose the bottle anymore. try chatting which comprise your pediatritan approximately whats occurring, yet i in my view do no longer see the subject with reducing the bottle now and going to a sippy cup. do no longer cut back out her nutrients... if she is sound asleep interior the process the evening and ingesting her nutrients solid, i could think of she is fantastic. sounds like your little female is turning out to be up.

when you're baby gets hungry enough, she will take a bottle. i know it sucks! my youngest (of 3) held on for quite a while as well. one day i just decided i had had enough. i had tried weaning her and nothing worked. i quit cold turkey. it was a couple of days with a LOT of crying (both of us) and a LOT of stress (ditto) but eventually, she gave in. I have heard that it will be easier if you can have someone else give the baby the bottle. i did not have this option and i did it.

just set your mind to it, pick a day, and go for it. remember, though, to PUMP when she naps or it will be
WAY too easy to just give in and feed her, especially when you're full!!

good luck!!!!
