any of them can do a thorough physical...usually internists or general practicitioners or family practice doctors do general physicals and specialists do more of a specific focus to a physical (ie eye doctor looks at eyes, ear doctor looks at ears, etc)

actually any physician can do one, it is just do they feel comfortable doing one...
but generally a GP or FP will do it...
