I believe they are their own company. I searched them on a popular search engine and found they are listed on NYSE; BWLD. If you are looking to watch any game (they have plenty of TV's), tall drafts, and decent wings, give em' a try.

The year was 1981. Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery had recently transplanted to Kent, Ohio after living in Buffalo, New York. All was fine until one day when the two were craving wings. Not just ordinary wings, but authentic Buffalo, New York-style chicken wings. Only problem was there was nowhere to get wings nearby. So Jim and Scott had two choices to satisfy their appetite: they could either make a road trip to New York or open a wing joint close to home. Lucky for us they chose the latter. Hence, the beginning of Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck, now Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, the no-holds-barred grill and bar that serves up a healthy dose of fun with every batch of Buffalo chicken wings.

Yeah say what? Don't play in traffic. I hate swerving around all those people playing in traffic (or am I driving on the sidewalk...?) I don't know the commercial that you're talking about, but any buffalo chicken commercial makes me salivate uncontrolably. The best ever were Arby's double dippers (buffalo sauce and bleu cheese), discontinued unfortunately.
le sigh. . .

They have a slightly more "bar" atmosphere than the restaurants that you mentioned. The wings there are good, and a very good beverage selection. As with any of this type of place, the service is a big factor, and that can vary. Overall they're worth trying.

i love buffalo wild wings...amazing wings. I particularly like the honey barbeque and teriaki sauces. They also have good onion rings and a fun bar like atmosphere with huge big screens! They are always jam packed with people whenever a major sports game is on television. You should go, it's yummy ;-)

It's a sports bar really. The one in my town is anyway. Huge projection screens with all the games on, dart boards, pool tables, interactive game system, oh yes... and lots of beer!
