I've always thought i looked good in red but that's not a priority. Any suggestions? Also hair suggestions?

I'm almost 14 (2 months) the location is kinda hard to explain but i'll try...
i'm home-schooled, and every year a bunch of home-schooled kids and families from all around the country get together and stay at a hotel for a weekend, and there's a dance for the teens.

this may sound funny, but go browse ebay. If you find something you really like, you can bid on it, but it's good to take your measurements before you do that.

.Where is the dance?
How old are you?
We need some more details sweetie.

OK!!
Better.. check out these sites.

Bout the red...
I think that if you look good in it then keep it in mind, but also keep your options open.
Take a look at the sites below and see what's hot! If you see something that catches your eye then think about it for a few days. Either way you will look nice. I always like to wear clear high heels with the diamonds on them... I call them the glass slipper. They are really cute and go with just about any color.
As far as your hair I would go to the store and pick up some magazines for hair styles. Or you can do a search for that. You can check out the pictures from the Oscars that just happened to see how celebrities look and you can copy their makeup style.
Have your mom or friend help you with your hair and makeup. And either get your nails and toes done or do them yourself for about $6. They would look super cute as a French manicure and pedicure.

If you don't find any dresses here just do a yahoo search for cute dresses for juniors or teens.

Good luck and have fun.

Forever 21 has great and INEXPENSIVE dresses (less than 30). For a little pricier but higher quality look at Nordstrom. You can get an appropriate dress there for under 100 dollars. At your age it's best to go for something with an A line fit with straps (fitted bodice and flows out from the hip).. this will make you look like you have more of an hourglass, womanly figure without looking too "sexy". Oh and from my past experience with dances.. avoid wearing anything with sequins around the top. It really starts to irritate your underarms by the end of the dance. Have a good time!!!

If your hair is brown as in your avatar then dresses in green, yellow, purple, cream/off white and orange may be some options you might want to think about. It all depends on how dark/light your hair is and what looks good on you. So maybe you could try a few dresses on in colours you normally wouldn't pick and bring a trust worthy friend or family member with you to tell you truthfully if they look good or not.

I think for dances, don't try to over do your hair cause If you've got a dressy dress and then over the top hair you could end up looking like a barbie doll. Wavey hair is nice, so you could wear it down and then use like a nice hair accessory to pull one side of it slightly back. If your hairs naturally wavy then just leave it but if it's straight then just divide it in two, put some moose or styling hold product in each section and braid/plait both sections. Then leave it in for a while or if you have little time use hair irons/straighteners and clamp them down for a while over the plait. To finish add some hair spray or styling finishing gel to keep it in place. Other hair ideas: Side bun, straighten hair with a quiff on front or pinned up curls with a hair band on front.

If you like red go for it.But if your going to were red you better look smashing in the dress. Red is going to have you noticed and it says that you're confident--so you better be. Don't let the dress wear you, you wear the dress. As for your hair, if the the dress is really elegant go with an updo, if it's more casual and flirty, let your hair do the same thing. Have fun!

Don't wear red. some folk's read it wrong. If you're a red head wear pink or white or blue.
