Yes, both the blood type and rh factor coincide. It is also possible to have two rh positive babies and have a child with rh - depending on recessive gene of the O and A parents. The threat with rh - blood is if the baby is + blood type. They will usually give you a rh gam before pregnancy in the middle and after, to make sure that your next baby does not pose a risk. But yes, they both coincide with each other. Now if the child was B+ and the other person was AB and the other was A+ there would b a question I believe but of blood not the rh factor.

If there is question maybe you should go to www.genetree.com
They have paternity determining eye color, blood type and several others, plus they have paternity test. But the blood type does not sound like a factor.

If the mother is negative then thats probly not good. I learned in my college biology class that sometimes the mothers negative blood will "attack" the baby if the baby has positive blood. But pos blood wont attack neg blood. Something about antibodies or something. If you have negative blood and are pregnant tell your doctor immediately. If they catch it early enough there are meds they can give you so your blood wont attack the babys. Also you cant be sure what blood type the baby will have. I read some other people answers and they said that A is dominant. I have O positive, my husband is A positive. But my baby girl has O pos blood.

Yes, I am RH Neg and my father is positive. My mother has the neg blood. The doctor will give you a shot during your pregnancy to make sure that the anti-bodies in your blood do not attack the fetus. It is called RhoGam. I have two children with positive blood and had no problems with my pregnancy. Make sure to tell them you have neg blood( they will test it,better to be safe). Remember to have good pre-natal care.

Yes, totally. It happened to me and my first husband. He is A+ and I am A+ but our baby is A - . When we asked around we found that my Mother had O- and his father had A -. So blood types go back through the generations.

The baby doesn't have to have the same blood type to be created into this world.

I would say yes we all don't have the same blood type as our parents.

Hope it makes sense!!!!

Nope, it won't work. Blood type is a genetic trait and type O is recessive and type A and B is dominant. The blood type of all your children would be type A. Also all your children would carry type O blood and if they married someone with type O they would have 50% of their children with type O or married someone having genotype AO or BO would have 25% of their children with type O blood. It's all genetics. Remember high school biology.
